The Financial Pressure on CHP Municipalities and Democracy...

Recently, I want to express my thoughts on the economic pressures that will be applied to CHP municipalities, which we have clearly observed and which have been discussed in today's statements. The pressures applied to CHP municipalities and the restriction of their budgets have become a significant issue threatening the understanding of democracy and justice in Turkey.

The government aims to reduce the quality of services by narrowing the financial resources of CHP municipalities, and to decrease support for the CHP through these municipalities. This strategy indirectly seeks to give the AK Party an advantage in elections.

The restriction of budgets will lead to service disruptions and a decline in public satisfaction.

This situation weakens the influence of local governments and creates distrust among voters, which directly affects election results.

Such practices further harm democratic values.

If the CHP is targeted and the public is punished, the response will come from the people.

Conducting elections under fair and equal conditions is fundamental to democracy.

A transparent and fair governance approach, free from political pressures, is necessary. The protection of democracy and justice is a right for all citizens, not just the CHP, and the effectiveness of local governments is an essential part of this right.
