Dear Mothers,

In these hot days, as mothers, our main focus is likely on summer vacation...

With the excitement of report cards and the rush of the holiday season, two weeks have already passed.

Now, the real vacation begins!

We are all planning how to spend the upcoming time with our children.

What should we do to help them not forget what they learned at school?

How can we keep them away from digital tools and social media?

We often hear the phrase, "Spend quality time with your child," but how can we create that quality time?

You might be searching for answers to these questions. The suggestions I've shared below should help answer them.

You probably come across many suggestions on social media and TV programs. Now, I want to share not just textbook advice but tangible, practical tips.

There's no need to make new discoveries;

You can start with the games from our childhood.

Keep a vacation journal together.

Prepare the breakfast table together in the mornings.

Clean the house together.

Instead of ordering them to read, choose books together, set a reading time, and read simultaneously. Sometimes, let your child read aloud to you, and sometimes you read aloud to them.

Remember! Reading for 30 minutes every day adds up to more than 40 hours of reading by the end of the vacation.

Visit neighbors.

Arrange playdates with friends.

Find hobbies you can do together that develop hand skills (puzzles, macramé, painting, etc.).

Play games like Name Place, Tic-Tac-Toe, Nine Men’s Morris, Checkers, Chess, etc.

Experiment with new recipes in the kitchen using the ingredients you already have.

Give them RESPONSIBILITY. Let them make their bed, unload the dishwasher...

When you start doing these things as a ROUTINE, everything will fall into place naturally, and your child will begin to do them without your guidance.

In all activities, be CONSISTENT and DETERMINED. Our children should not perceive these tasks as mere chores. Make them feel that you enjoy doing them. Enjoy yourself and ensure your child enjoys it too.

Remember! There are two days in life that are impossible to live;

“One is YESTERDAY, and the other is TOMORROW.”

Plan your vacation with the idea of enjoying today.

Endless Love and Happy Times 😎
